The Perks of Being a Wallflower / Las Ventajas de Ser Invisible

So, today I'm gonna talk about my favourite book: "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky.

Maybe you've heard the quotes "In that moment, I swear we were infinite" or "We accept the love we think we deserve". Well, those quotes belong to this awesome book.

"The Perks of Being a Wallflower" is an epistolary novel about a boy called Charlie. The story begins when Charlie is gonna start his freshman year without his only friend, Michael, that killed himself some months before. Product of his anxienty, he writes letters to an anonymous stranger telling him/her what happens in his mind. At school he meets Patrick and Sam. They introduce him to many new experiences and people.

This novel was published on February 1st, 1999; but the film came out in 2012, which starred Logan Lerman (Charlie), Emma Watson (Sam) and Ezra Miller (Patrick).

Sometimes I feel really identified with Charlie; as every person in this world he has problems, things that he doesn't understand, moments of happiness and sadness and moments when he just can't keep thinking A LOT. Charlie has helped me in a lot of ways, now I see most of things in different ways and I appraciate the people around me.

This is a really good book and I think you should read it

Quizás has escuchado las frases "In that moment. I swear we were infinite" ("En ese momento, juro que éramos infinitos") o "We accept the love we thing we deserve" ("Aceptamos el amor que creemos merecer"). Bueno, estas frases pertenecen a este hermoso libro.

"Las Ventajas de Ser Invisible" es una novela epistolar sobre un chico llamado Charlie. La historia comienza cuando Charlie empieza su primer año de secundaria sin su único amigo, Michael, que se suicidó algunos meses antes. Producto de su ansiedad, le escribe a una persona anónima contándole lo que está pasando en su mente. En la escuela conoce a Patrick y Sam. Ellos le presentan nuevas experiencias y nuevas personas.

Esta novela fue publicada el 1 de Febrero de 1999; pero la película salió el 2912, con Logan Lerman (Charlie), Emma Watson (Sam) y Ezra Miller (Patrick) como protagonistas.

A veces me siento bastante identificada con Charlie; como todas las personas en el mundo él tiene problemas, cosas que no entiende, momentos de felicidad y tristeza y momentos en los que no puede evitar pensar MUCHO. Charlie me ha ayudado en muchas maneras, ahora veo la mayoría de las cosas de forma distinta y aprecio la gente que me rodea.

Es un libro muy bueno y creo que deberían leerlo
